Keith's Accident

Monday afternoon, our friend Keith was in a car accident. Chad happened to call Keith in the moments after the accident, so we went straight to the scene to make sure he was ok. He told Chad that a girl ran out in front of his car so he slammed on his brakes, but still hit her. Then, a utility van rear-ended Keith's car. The van demolished the back of his car. His car was loaded with equipment (3 guitars, a bass, an amp, cymbals, and a pedal board.) When the van hit him, a couple of the hard cases hit him in the arm and back of the head.

Chad rode in the ambulance with Keith to the hospital. At first, Chad and I thought Keith was alright. On the way to the hospital, Keith started repeating himself. The whole way to the hospital the conversation was "Where's Chad?" (the ambulance rider would tell him Chad was in the front seat) "Chad, that scared me so bad!" .... "Where's Chad?" "Chad, that scared me so bad!" .... for about 20 minutes straight.
By the time they arrived at the hospital, Keith couldn't remember the accident. He would ask "What happened?" about every other minute. He also started asking if Chad was ok. We think because Chad called him right after it happened, Keith associated Chad with the accident.

They did X-rays and a cat scan, and all of the tests came back negative. The doctors told all of us (About 10 family members, Noah, Chad and I) that his memory would come back, but there was no way to determine when. At the end of the night, about 5 hours after the accident had happened, he couldn't remember anything from this past weekend up right then. He was still asking "What happened?" and if his car was ok every couple of minutes. He also said he wanted Chipotle really bad about 50 times :).

Yesterday, he could remember all of the way up to a couple of hours before the accident. We went to the impound lot to take photos for the insurance company. Keith still couldn't remember the accident and couldn't believe how bad his car looked. Of course Keith had a good sense of humor about the whole situation. He's doing really well now, as you can see:

Here are some more photos of his car:

Happy Anniversary to Us!!

One year ago today, at exactly this time(I slept in on my wedding day, hah, it was nice), I woke up for the last time in my parents house. My mom came in my room, opened the curtains and came and sat on the side of my bed. For as long as I can remember, my mom's method of waking me up was opening the curtains and singing, all the while knowing she can't sing :), and no matter what she was always in the best mood. I hope to someday be a morning person the way she is. After her emotional wake up call, I started the most important day of my life.
Our whole wedding day was so relaxed and we both had so much fun. Our family and friends are such a blessing to us! They made the day truly special for us. This past year has been so incredible, and we're both so excited to see what's in store for our future together!
Here are some photos from the day, thanks to Jamie Jansen.

**This first photo needs a short explanation :)
As we were saying our vows, we both became very emotional. Chad was trying with all of his might to keep his composure. The result of him trying to speak while holding back tears was this face... I really didn't notice how much he was frowning while we were up there, but as soon as we saw the photos I lost it! I think it's hilarious. Now, he'll make that face and say, "I'll make him an offer he can't refuse..." hah :)

Happy Anniversary, Chaddy!! I love you :)

Jill & Adam: Wedding

Chad and I had a "double header" this weekend. A Friday wedding followed by a Saturday wedding. We were exhausted on Sunday, but we had so much fun and got to meet so many cool people!
Jill and Adam had a gorgeous wedding- the couple, the weather, the venue- all of it! Jill wore her mother's wedding gown and looked stunning in it. She had every aspect of the day planned out so well, and it showed. Her bridesmaids were awesome in helping her out with everything, too. The reception was held at the incredible InterContinental Hotel in Cleveland. We all had a blast all day long and I'm so glad we were able to capture their beautiful day!

Claire & Matt: Wedding

These two had an absolutely beautiful wedding! Everything was held in the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Claire was such an elegant bride. Matt and his guys were quite dashing, as well. Everything down to the smallest detail -- like their exit from the ceremony :) -- went along seamlessly. We had perfect weather all day long. The toasts were great; humorous, but still very touching. You could really see how loved Matt and Claire are. It's definitely because of how much they love and care about others!
Chad and I both are so glad we were able to spend your wedding day with you, Matt & Claire! Thank you so much for everything!!

Michelle & Ryan: Wedding

Chad and I had such a fun time with these two! Their whole day was so relaxed and full of smiles :) These two let me have complete and total creative freedom while just the 3 of us went off shooting. Although the weather wasn't the greatest that day, it cleared up for a little while and we were able to get a lot of really fun shots! Thanks so much for letting us be a part of your day, Ryan and Michelle!!

Claire & Matt: E-Session

My clients are such a blessing to me :)
Claire and Matt were just that. We shot their e-session just two days before the wedding last week. Claire wanted to shoot at her former high school, and I'm so glad she did! It's a beautiful old building with lots of character. I had so much fun shooting there. They were so trusting and open to my input, and had lots of great ideas themselves! Enjoy...

Miranda: Senior Session

I absolutely lovvvve shooting senior sessions. I always have lots of fun and leave really inspired. Today was great. I got to meet Miranda, her friend Jen, and her mom Diane. Jen and Diane were a lot of help on the shoot. And, as you can see, Miranda is gorgeous so it would have been a challenge for me to take a bad photo of her. We went all over the place and I love all the backdrops we found. I'm wicked exicted about the images I captured today :) Enjoy!!

Jenni & Eric: E-Session

I had an incredible shoot yesterday! Jenni and Eric were soo much fun to hang out with. On my way home, I realized my face hurt from smiling and laughing so much with them. :) They're a super sweet couple and very easy to shoot. Their wedding day is going to be so much fun!
They introduced me to the charming little town of Chagrin Falls. Everywhere we turned there was another amazing spot to shoot. I hope to able to shoot there again sometime. Here are some of my favorites from yesterday!!

Pribble Family Shoot

I had a family portrait session today, which I don't do too often. (Not because I don't like to, I really do enjoy them.) I love the images I got from todays shoot! I hadn't met the family before today, so I didn't really know anything about them. When we met I knew it was going to be a great shoot. They're such a photogenic family, and all around great people. Enjoy the preview!! :)

Ashley's Senior Session Sneak Peek

I'm so blessed to be able to work with so many cool HS seniors! I had a lot of fun getting to know Ashley & her friend, Jess. Ashley had a lot of input on the shoot, which I love! Her style and personality are wicked fun, I really tried to let that shine through in the photos. She has a great smile, and I love how much attitude her serious look has. I shot a ton of photos that day, so it was hard to narrow it down for this entry. I hope you like these picks, Ashley :)
