Nabia: Senior Session

I love my clients! They inspire me! And Nabia was no exception. She has such a great style, and is really a natural in front of the camera. And such a trooper! It was not warm or nice out by any means... I was wearing a coat, arm warmers, a hat, boots. If it had been me in front of the camera, I wouldn't look half as great as she looks!

Thank you so much, Nabia, for the great session!

I love how relaxed, yet confident Nabia looks in these two:

Gorgeous!

The only word I can think of for this one is "Stunning".

Rocking the accessories :)

I didn't have anything like this in my head before we started shooting- but I'm thrilled with this shot!

Dan: Senior Session

I absolutely love the creative freedom that comes with senior sessions. Dan was up for anything, his only request was that we shot "out in the country". I can handle that :) When he showed up in his pick up truck, I was flooded with ideas. We had some gorgeous light to work with, too.

What's more out in the country that corn fields :)

Dan was so relaxed in front of the camera, and it really came through in his photos.

We played around with some off camera lighting, too- I'm happy with the results!

Thanks again, Dan!!

Meredith: Senior Session

I never ever get tired of senior sessions- I know I'm always going to be inspired! Meredith's session was so much fun! We had such a gorgeous setting to work with, her outfits were so cute, and she even had some friends there to be a part of the shoot.

I know it's going to be a good shoot when I have the same shirt as the client ;)

This one reminded me of an old film. I love her contemplative expression.

Love this one!!

I like everything about this photo :) This outfit is so perfect for this time of year!

We were able to use this awesome spot for a really unique backdrop.

Thanks again, Meredith!

Lynisa: Senior Session

Yesterday, a client told me she could tell that what I do is my passion, where my heart is, not just my "job". Everyday I think about how blessed I am to do what I love, but it makes me happy that people can see that in me. :)

Lynisa's shoot was one of those sessions that made my mind race with ideas; I felt like I was able to think in new ways. We had ridiculously amazing light and as you can see Lynisa is gorgeous! (A big thanks to Crystal for being the on-sight make up/hair stylist... and just for being awesome.)

So cute!

I love the way the light is coming in behind her on this old stairway.

Favorite! The light, the itty bitty flare, her perfect smile! This image is so simple but I love it!

Ok... tied for favorite :)

Stunning much?? Isn't that dress beautiful??

Thanks again, Lynisa!! I had so much fun and I'm so happy with your photos!

Michael: Senior Session

Here's another senior I can't believe is a senior! Michael was a lot of fun to photograph- we came across some new locations and had perfect weather to shoot in. I find it to be more of a challenge to photograph guys, but Michael was full of input and great in front of the camera! Enjoy the preview!!

I'd like to think I'm funny, but we were probably laughing at something he said.

Fun with revolving doors :)

We ended our shoot at a local park to get some shots of Michael in his soccer uniform. Something new for me but I always welcome a challenge :)

Zack: Senior Session

I had a GREAT time with Zack, his mom, and his sister (photo-shoot extradorinaire) Erin. It's funny to think of someone as your friends younger sibling for so long- thinking they'll never get any older. Then you realize "Oh yeah, he's going to graduate from high school this year!!!" (Which is the case for both of the senior sessions I had this week.)
Zack is such an easy going person, I knew his session would be laid back and a lot of fun. We all toughed out the heat and got some really great shots. Enjoy :)

Serious time.

Less serious time :)

I'm always jealous of eyes this blue!

Erin stepping in, to give some advice on posing.

Some very lovely light toward the end of the shoot!

Jungle? OR a litter-filled parking lot in the middle of Canton. I guess you'll never know.

Chelsea: Senior Session

I can't stop saying how much I love doing senior sessions! I had a great time with Chelsea- it was actually our 2nd shoot together. I did a family session for her family last year.
I'm so happy with the results. Enjoy the preview :)

I love the simplicity of this shot! She's such a natural in front of the camera!

Dani and Kaitlyn: Senior Session

I had SO much fun with these two!!! They are both soooo photogenic- not to mention two of the sweetest and most mature teenagers you'll ever meet. All three of us have been excited for this shoot for a long time! The weather was perfect and we found some new locations- it was an amazing shoot!

I'm going to be honest and open with all of you blog readers... I didn't do this on purpose:

But I love it!!! I should accidentally hit the shutter more often :)

And here's a more purposeful version:

This one is for Dani's mom- notice her hair isn't covering her eye :)

Both of these girls could be models. I love how dramatic this one is:

We had a lot of fun getting some shots of the two of them together! Here's one:

Girls will be girls :) Hair check!

These last two were the result of a last minute change of plans. I love these!! I processed them slightly different from my "usual" style. I just love the way they turned out!!

Thanks again Dani and Kaitlyn!!!

Ari: Senior Session

!!!!! <-- That is how I feel about these photos. I love them! This shoot was so unique and so much for me. Ari is such a cool girl (and a future rockstar photographer!). In the conversations I had with her mother prior to the session, I knew Ari was going to be a lot of fun to photograph. She had great outfits picked out and was open to all of the ideas I had swirling around in my head! Thanks so much, Ari and Kris, for trusting my vision :)
Enough words- onto what you're here for:

With many thanks to Kris, we had a completely unique experience and location to go with Ari's great "Marilyn" dress!

I have a lot of favorites from this session, and this is one of them!

Love those colors!

Whenever I return to a location, I try to capture everything in a new way.. I'd like to think I accomplished that with this one:
